Change Detection in Synthetic Aperture Radar Images Using a Dual-Domain Network

چکیده

Change detection from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery is a critical yet challenging task. Existing methods mainly focus on feature extraction in spatial domain, and little attention has been paid to frequency domain. Furthermore, patch-wise analysis, some noisy features the marginal region may be introduced. To tackle above two challenges, we propose Dual-Domain Network. Specifically, take discrete cosine transform domain into consideration reshaped DCT coefficients are integrated proposed model as branch. Feature representations both exploited alleviate speckle noise. In addition, further multi-region convolution module, which emphasizes central of each patch. The contextual information modeled adaptively. experimental results three SAR datasets demonstrate effectiveness model. Our codes available at https://github.com/summitgao/SAR_CD_DDNet.

Speckle Reduction in Synthetic Aperture Radar Images in Wavelet Domain Using Laplace Distribution

Speckle is a granular noise-like phenomenon which appears in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images due to coherent properties of SAR systems. The presence of speckle complicates both human and automatic analysis of SAR images. As a result, speckle reduction is an important preprocessing step for many SAR remote sensing applications. Speckle reduction can be made through multi-looking during the...

sea target detection in polarimetric synthetic aperture radar images

study on polsar target detection essentially requires the cattering information and polarimetric statistical data. theoretical analysis shows that some terms of the second order scattering matrices such as coherence and covariance matrix clearly show the differences between nonsymmetrical man-made objects and natural clatters which being reflection symmetric. using the model derived from these ...

The Object Detection Efficiency in Synthetic Aperture Radar Systems

The main purpose of this paper is to develop the method of characteristic functions for calculating the detection characteristics in the case of the object surrounded by rough surfaces. This method is to be implemented in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems using optimal resolution algorithms. By applying the specified technique, the expressions have been obtained for the false alarm and cor...

Change Detection in Synthetic Aperture Radar Images Using a Multiscale-Driven Approach

Despite the significant progress that was achieved throughout the recent years, to this day, automatic change detection and classification from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images remains a difficult task. This is, in large part, due to (a) the high level of speckle noise that is inherent to SAR data; (b) the complex scattering response of SAR even for rather homogeneous targets; (c) the low ...

Optical images-based edge detection in Synthetic Aperture Radar images

We address the issue of adapting optical images-based edge detection techniques for use in Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) imagery. We modify the gravitational edge detection technique (inspired by the Law of Universal Gravity) proposed by Lopez-Molina et al, using the non-standard neighbourhood configuration proposed by Fu et al, to reduce the speckle noise in polarimetric SAR i...
